How does modern logistics catch up with the domestic demand of enterprises

The continuous fermentation of the European and American economic crisis has made the future export economy a tight string in the hearts of enterprises. After the financial crisis in 2008, export enterprises return to the road of domestic demand, which has once again become a hot topic. However, up to now, export enterprises still have not found a solution. At the same time, how to keep up with the pace of advanced manufacturing has become a key link for enterprises to expand domestic demand. If there is no strong logistics system to provide low-cost and high-quality logistics services for enterprises, I am afraid that the road of domestic demand will be extremely difficult at the moment of shortage of funds and lack of marketing channels.

How do export enterprises open up the domestic market?

Since this year, the multiple pressures faced by Foshan export enterprises such as cost and exchange rate have not been relieved. The EU anti-dumping of ceramics to China, the US "rating" incident and the deepening of the European debt crisis have brought a series of chain reactions. At present, many Foshan enterprises are pessimistic about the prospect of export. In Foshan, the largest export volume is home appliances, ceramics and clothing. However, looking at these industries, the export situation of each industry is facing challenges.

According to the data of Shunde entry exit inspection and Quarantine Bureau, in the first half of 2011, the export quantity and value of Shunde refrigerators decreased by 10.1% and 2.1% respectively year-on-year, of which the export of compressor refrigerators decreased most significantly.

For most ceramic enterprises in Foshan, they will face a tax rate of 69.7% when exporting to the EU from September this year. As the export profit margin of ceramic enterprises is generally between 2% and 15%, the industry expects that the export volume of Foshan ceramics will be reduced by about 50%,

In the garment industry, the rumor of the reduction of export tax rebate has caused many Foshan enterprises to panic. Liang Yaokun, general manager of Foshan Nanhai Italian macro Garment Co., Ltd., said that if the export tax rebate rate of textile and garment enterprises is further reduced by 5 percentage points, it may cause a devastating blow to some small and medium-sized textile enterprises.

Exports continue to be sluggish, and many enterprises are ready to enter the domestic market. In an interview with reporters, Zhao Qichao, director of Foshan Institute of social and economic development, said: "it is an inevitable choice for enterprises to convert exports to domestic demand under the current situation."

However, in terms of products, prices, cultural connotation, marketing mode, settlement methods and other aspects, the domestic market is completely different for export-oriented enterprises.

Ye Zhongping, chairman of Guangdong Baoliya Industrial Development Co., Ltd., said that export manufacturers will face at least three problems in product positioning, channel resources and brand construction.

For example, many products sold to Europe and the United States cannot be accepted by Chinese consumers all at once. Guangdong Yangchen kitchenware Co., Ltd., located in the South China Sea, is an enterprise producing baking utensils. Its products are very popular in European and American markets, but domestic consumers do not have the habit of baking bread and cake. When the company sells its products in China, it is not satisfactory. Some insiders lamented that export enterprises are used to being told whether their products should be yellow or red, but he doesn't know why. When it's his turn to make up his mind, he often doesn't know what to do.

The bigger problem also comes from sales channels. Due to the monopoly of domestic sales channels, if products want to enter chain supermarkets and hypermarkets, they often have to pay high transaction costs, including entry fees, shelf fees and bar code fees. In addition, the settlement period of the domestic market also gives some export manufacturers a headache.

In fact, as early as the "several opinions of Foshan on promoting steady and rapid economic development" issued at the end of 2008, the Foshan government clearly encouraged processing trade enterprises to expand the domestic market from the policy level, and stipulated a certain amount of financial investment. So, have the policies formulated before achieved actual results, and how has the government done domestic sales guidance for export enterprises in recent years? In today's increasingly bleak export prospects, these need to be re explored.

At present, some enterprises in Foshan have begun to work together to deal with domestic sales problems, and even cooperate with domestic sales enterprises to share channel resources. Whether the government can act as the vanguard for enterprises to explore the market and help enterprises solve various domestic sales problems has become the expectation of many export enterprises.

Second, how does modern logistics catch up with advanced manufacturing?

Recently, the list of the first batch of smart logistics take-off enterprises in Foshan was released, and 20 enterprises were selected. It is reported that Foshan will allocate a special fund from the Municipal Economic and technological development fund every year to support and reward recognized "take-off" enterprises and promote the "four improvement projects". In order to encourage enterprises to use modern information technology and equipment to carry out technological transformation, Foshan started the identification of smart logistics take-off enterprises. Smart logistics take-off enterprises have made a difference in logistics informatization, sensing video monitoring and so on.

It can be said that in recent years, Foshan has been very concerned about the development of modern logistics industry, and large projects and actions have been taken continuously. For example, the introduction of Haiyuan logistics headquarters, a domestic logistics giant, and Meiqi headquarters, a "Big Mac" of logistics, can be described as a masterpiece of investment attraction of Foshan modern logistics. At the same time, the development planning and supporting policies of modern logistics have also been launched.

However, what we have to face up to is that it is the huge gap between logistics and manufacturing that forces Foshan to speed up its pace. Relevant experts said that the development of Foshan's logistics industry is seriously lagging behind Foshan's manufacturing industry, and the development level is at least 10 to 20 years behind the international level.
